Employment Type: One-Year Fixed-Term Contract Position Contract Duration: 12 months, with the possibility of extension. Compensation: Compensation will be competitive and aligned with experience and scope of responsibility. Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 8:00AM – 8:00 PM Shift Availability: Nursing coverage is required seven (7) days per week. Multiple positions are available to provide coverage on a rotational schedule, including weekends and statutory holidays. Training: Paid orientation and training will be provided to ensure staff are familiar with Foothills Centre's policies, procedures, medical protocols, and client care requirements.

Position Overview: The Registered Nurse, under the supervision of the Charge Nurse, assists, coordinates and provides nursing care by applying Nursing Practice Standards set by the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA); provides appropriate and safe care of clients and other duties as requested.



Qualified & Personal Qualities: Graduate of an approved College of Nursing. Good standing and current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Computer literacy skills and familiar with various EMR’s. Previous experience working in addiction treatment or behavioral health settings is preferred but not required. Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to recognize signs and symptoms of substance use disorders, withdrawal syndromes, and co-occurring mental health conditions. Compassionate and nonjudgmental approach to caring for individuals with substance abuse disorders. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and confidentiality. Ability to function independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
