Position Overview ExcellCare is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide personalized care to a client in Richmond Hill. We are looking for someone with flexible daytime availability who is committed to building a positive relationship with the client and providing consistent, high-quality care. Availability is required between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning as required.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Perform light housekeeping related to the client's care.
- Monitor and report changes in the client's physical, emotional, or cognitive condition.
- Maintain accurate care notes and communicate key updates.




- Follow the individualized care plan while respecting the client's dignity, privacy, and preferences.
- Communicate professionally with family members and other members of the care team. Qualifications
- Valid PSW certificate from a recognized institution.
- Previous experience in home care or a similar healthcare setting is an asset.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Vulnerable Sector Check satisfactory to the employer.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Ability to work independently and follow individualized care plans.
- Compassionate, patient, and attentive to detail.
