Job Summary We are looking for a reliable, energetic, and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, helping customers find what they need while keeping our sales floor looking its best. This position offers a mix of customer service, hands-on technical tasks (like mixing paint and filling propane), and store merchandising. Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales
- Operate the POS system to process transactions, returns, and exchanges accurately and efficiently.
- Greet and assist customers with a friendly attitude, answering questions about products and promotions. Task-Specific Duties
- Mix custom paint colors accurately using automated tinting equipment and shakers.
- Perform safe propane fills for customer tanks following all regulatory and store safety guidelines (training provided). Inventory & Merchandising
- Stock shelves and maintain clean, organized, and fully faced displays throughout the store.
- Manage inventory by assisting with receiving, cycle counts,



and identifying low-stock items.
- Execute merchandising plans, including setting up seasonal displays and executing weekly flyer transitions. Future Leadership
- Train to become a Key Holder, eventually taking on responsibilities for opening/closing the store and securing the building and supervising student staff. Qualifications & Skills

Experience:
Previous experience in retail, customer service, or a hardware/home improvement setting is preferred but not required.

Skills:
Ability to learn POS operations, paint mixing software, and propane filling procedures.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and comfortably lift up to 40–50 lbs (required for stocking and propane handling).
- Schedule: Must be flexible to work 30–40 hours per week, including two weekends per month.
- Attributes: Strong communication skills, sharp attention to detail, and a high level of reliability. Pay: $17.60-$23.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week Work
