The Packaging position is responsible for preparing, packaging, and labeling food products while maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, and food safety. This includes lifting and use of necessary equipment in a fast paced and busy work environment. Specific Duties
- Package and label food products accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare products for display and sale according to department standards.
- Ensure packaging materials and products are properly stocked.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Monitor product quality, freshness, and presentation.
- Assist with inventory checks and notify the supervisor when supplies are running low.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production needs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned. Work Conditions
- Previous experience in a grocery store, food preparation, or packaging environment is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced workplace.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices is an asset.
