Company Overview MDT Sporting Goods Ltd. (MDT) is the market leader in bolt action rifle chassis and accessories. Our products are used worldwide by firearm enthusiasts, manufacturers and law enforcement agencies for accuracy, quality, and reliability. At MDT, we pride ourselves on working hard, enjoying what we do, and setting a high standard in everything we make. With a focus on being legendary, we are looking for strong leaders who are passionate about this industry and excited to build, support, and grow high-performing teams. Summary: The Manufacturing Manager leads the Production Managers and owns everything production delivers. They lead through the Production Managers, not around them, coaching through Toyota Kata and developing each one to grow into the next seat up. They never lie to a customer or an employee. Core Values & Extreme Ownership: How this role leads. The Manufacturing Manager lives these first and expects the same of every production leader:
- Purposeful — does what they are here to do, and keeps every Production Manager focused on the few priorities that matter.
- Capable — keeps learning how to do it better, and grows every Production Manager the same way.
- Legendary — tells the truth and has their managers' backs: raises problems early, gives straight feedback, and stands behind them.
- Extreme Ownership — owns every result in manufacturing, with no excuses and no blame. When a manager misses, they first ask how they failed to lead, train or plan.
- Decentralized Command — gives Production Managers clear intent and decision fences, then lets them execute. Accountabilities: The outcomes this role owns across all production areas, reviewed weekly. If a Production Manager misses, the Manufacturing Manager still owns the result.
- Quality — quality built in at the source in every area: defects are not made, not passed to the next process, and scrap trends down.
- Delivery — every area keeps the inventory it supplies in stock, so no line waits, supporting 100% on-time ship.
- Inventory — kanban cards active and in use in every area, with no missed or lost cards.
- Productivity — labour cost per unit, tooling and consumables to budget across manufacturing.

- Safety — incidents trending down, with near misses reported and closed in every area.
- Flow — continual, visible progress toward one-piece flow and shorter lead time in every area.
- Capacity — every area delivers the capacity the plan needs; no shortfall reaches the plan without warning.
- People — everyone in production stays and grows: turnover trending down, training matrix coverage trending up, and a successor ready for every key seat.
