3201 Greenbank Road, Ottawa, ON Start Date: As soon as possible About the Position Marketplace Medical Centre is a busy family medicine clinic in Barrhaven seeking an experienced, reliable and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to physicians, coordinating patient appointments and maintaining efficient daily clinic operations. We are looking for someone who demonstrates initiative, professionalism, sound judgment and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced medical environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Greet and register patients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Schedule, confirm and coordinate patient appointments.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
- Process incoming referrals, faxes, laboratory reports and medical correspondence.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records using TELUS PS Suite.
- Coordinate referrals, investigations and patient follow-up appointments.
- Assist physicians with administrative and clinical workflow requirements.




- Process OHIP billing and reconcile billing errors as required.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with clinic policies.
- Collaborate with physicians and other clinic staff to ensure efficient patient care. Qualifications Required:
- Minimum two years of experience working in a medical office.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Solid organizational, multitasking and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with computers and electronic medical records.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands.
- Professional demeanour, attention to detail and sound judgment. Preferred:
- Experience with TELUS PS Suite EMR.
- Familiarity with Ontario OHIP billing.
- Previous experience in a busy family medicine practice.
