About the Role
We are looking for a customer-focused, tech-savvy Mobile Service Technician to join our team at Whiteoak Ford Lincoln. This is a unique split role where you’ll spend half your time bringing our services directly to clients in the field and the other half supporting operations back at the dealership. Right now, our mobile calls are focused on convenience services—specifically software updates, recalls, and light-duty diagnostics rather than heavy mechanical work. Employment Type: Full time (50% Field / 50% In-Shop) What You’ll Be Doing:
- Traveling to client locations to handle light diagnostic assessments, recall resolutions, and software updates, acting as a great brand ambassador.
- Managing your repair orders from start to finish on a tablet—handling write-ups, multi-point inspections, closing out orders on-site, and checking PTS/OASIS for open field service actions.
- Working in our service bays for the other half of your time, supporting diagnostic workflows, electrical updates, and light repairs. What We’re Looking For:
- A Base Level Tech (B/C) with a solid grasp of basic electrical systems.
- Comfort using scan tools like FDRS, IDS, or generic scanners to handle DTC retrievals, module programming, and basic PID interpretations.
- People who are personable, organized, customer-centric, and completely comfortable navigating tablets and digital databases.
- A coachable, quality-driven team member with a valid driver's license and clean record.
