Employment Type: One-Year Fixed-Term Contract Position Contract Duration: 12 months, with the possibility of extension. Compensation: Compensation will be competitive and aligned with experience and scope of responsibility. Shift Schedule: 8-hour shifts Shift Availability: Multiple positions are available to provide coverage on a rotational schedule, including weekends and statutory holidays. Training: Paid orientation and training will be provided to ensure staff are familiar with Foothills Centre's policies, procedures, medical protocols, and client care requirements.

Position Overview: The HCA will report directly to the Nurse on shift. The HCA, under the supervision of the Nurse, assists, coordinates and provides nursing care by applying Standards of Practice set by the College of LPN’s and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).



Professional & Personal Qualities: Graduate from an approved Health Care Aide program. Good standing and current registration with Alberta Health Care Aide Directory. Current Class 5 Driver’s License. Updated Driver’s Abstract. Computer literacy skills. Previous experience working in addiction treatment or behavioral health settings is preferred but not required. Compassionate and nonjudgmental approach to caring for individuals with substance abuse disorders. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and confidentiality. Ability to function independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment. Able to provide and receive constructive feedback. Work
