We opened just one year ago and have been busy since day one. We are the sister hospital of Port City Emergency Veterinary Hospital in Saint John. We’re looking for a veterinarian to join our team. New grads, 2027 grads, GPs looking for a change and experienced ER veterinarians are all welcome. This is a permanent, full-time position. We hire for personality, work ethic and an eagerness to learn. We can teach the rest. You’ll work alongside an extremely supportive team of experienced veterinarians, excellent technicians and dedicated support staff who allow you to focus on what matters most: the medicine, decision making and clients. Job Duties
- Diagnose diseases or abnormal conditions in individual animals through physical examinations or laboratory tests
- Treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, setting bones, dressing wounds or performing surgery
- Advise clients on feeding, housing, behaviour, breeding, hygiene and general care of animals
- Perform routine, emergency and post-mortem examinations Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
- Eligibility for veterinary licensure in Canada
- Written and oral proficiency in English
