Job Summary The Security Guard (Over night) helps maintain a safe, orderly workplace during overnight hours. This role involves monitoring activity, identifying potential security concerns, and responding calmly in line with established procedures. Attentive surveillance and clear, accurate reporting help colleagues address issues and support the safety of people and property.

Key Responsibilities
Security and Property Surveillance
- Maintain a visible and identifiable security presence throughout the property.
- Ensure the safety and security of customers, employees, hotel guests, and visitors.
- Conduct regular patrols of the entire property, including the truckers' parking lot.
- Ensure trucks are parked in designated areas.
- Maintain order and respond appropriately to disturbances or suspicious activities.
- Provide security presence at the cigarette store during closing hours.
- Conduct hourly overnight security rounds of all buildings, parking areas, and the cigarette store.
- Report any incidents, suspicious activities, safety concerns, or maintenance issues to management. Property Maintenance and Customer Assistance
- Ensure the security vehicle is equipped with all necessary emergency equipment, including a jack, air compressor, booster cables, chain, shovel, salt, Slim Jim, and first aid kit.
- Keep all building entrances and garage door areas (front and back) clean, swept, salted, and lightly shovelled as required.
- Verify that showers are clean, lights are turned off,



and all three towels are accounted for.
- Clean up spills, garbage, and debris found inside or outside the building.
- Assist hotel guests with luggage and provide additional towels when requested.
- Assist customers at the gas pumps when they experience difficulties or require help.
- Check and verify overnight deliveries for the convenience store. Qualifications and Skills
- Previous security experience is an asset.
- Strong observation and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and remain alert throughout the shift.
- Ability to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally.
- Willingness to assist with light outdoor maintenance duties, including shovelling and salting.
- Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
