Lead advanced photonics research in Ottawa with expertise in Radio-over-Fiber, mmWave, and sub-THz wireless systems. This is a 12-month contract. Huawei Canada seeks a Professor for its Advanced Wireless Technology Wireless Lab. The work focuses on photonic active devices, laser technologies, optoelectronic oscillators, and microwave photonics. You will support AiM-RF research and guide technology development through technical evaluation and consulting.

Key Responsibilities
- Consult on advanced photonic device technologies for wireless systems
- Evaluate surface-emitting DFB laser technologies
- Assess OEO technologies for low phase-noise signal generation
- Investigate injection-locked lasers and optical heterodyne techniques
- Deliver analyses, reports, invention disclosures, and patent contributions

Requirements:
- PhD in Wireless Communication or related field
- Robust academic background in photonic active device design
- Extensive experience supporting novel DML development
- Practical understanding of manufacturing processes
- Expertise in RF and microwave fields Apply wireless communication research, photonic device expertise, and RF knowledge to Huawei Canada technology development in Ottawa.
