With continued growth ahead, the group is looking for a finance leader to take that foundation forward. The team is small, and collaborative, with finance and operations working closely together every day. The Opportunity Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Controller will take ownership of the accounting and finance function across the group. Leading a small accounting team, you will be responsible for reliable financial reporting, multi-company and intercompany accounting, cash flow management, and financial controls, while staying hands-on with day-to-day accounting. Ownership and operational leaders are looking for a strategic controller. You will also play a key role in the group's ERP and point-of-sale implementation, and help bring new tools, automation, and AI into the finance function. Enjoy a hybrid work arrangement, with one-two days in the office, located in the HRM. What You'll Be Doing Lead the finance and accounting function, including oversight of the accounting team, clear accountability and reliable day-to-day execution. Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting, oversee multi-company/intercompany accounting, and take responsibility for cash-flow management, working-capital planning, financial controls and year-end coordination. Improve management reporting and provide meaningful financial insight into performance, profitability, costs and investment decisions across the group’s various business activities. Help strengthen budgeting, forecasting and financial planning in a way that is practical for the organization’s stage of growth. Take ownership of the financial and accounting aspects of the ERP implementation and handover, ensuring effective processes, reliable reporting, appropriate controls and ongoing system accountability. Improve and streamline financial processes and systems, using technology,



automation and emerging tools where appropriate while maintaining sound controls. What You'll Bring Proven experience as a controller, senior accountant, or in a comparable finance leadership role, with the ability to independently own the finance function. Strong accounting fundamentals and judgment, including multi-company reporting, consolidations, and intercompany transactions. Experience leading a team in a multi-entity or operationally complex environment. Strong up-and-coming candidates ready to take their first step into leading a team will also be considered. A hands-on approach, with a willingness to get into the details while building better processes along the way. A strong sense of ownership, initiative, and accountability, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands, consistently meet deadlines, and proactively identify and address issues or opportunities for improvement without waiting for direction. Experience working with banks on financing and funding, as well as with external accountants on corporate tax compliance and CRA matters. Strong technology aptitude and experience with ERP systems. Experience supporting an ERP implementation or transition is an asset. An interest in how AI and automation are changing accounting, whether you are already using these tools or exploring

how to apply
them. The ability to turn financial information into clear, helpful guidance for non-finance leaders. Experience in multi-location business is considered an asset. A CPA designation is considered an asset. Demonstrated technical skill, leadership experience, and overall fit will be weighed alongside formal credentials.
