Drive financial accuracy at Gerdau’s Selkirk facility through cost analysis, inventory oversight, and operational performance reporting. Relocation is available. Reporting to the General Manager, the Controller analyzes the division’s financial records to support operational cost reduction. The position covers accounting principles, financial regulations, reporting standards, and monthly financial close processes. You will also support budgeting, forecasting, project review, and internal controls while explaining results to division management and department managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure production and ending inventory accuracy
- Validate raw material usage and division costs
- Explain variances during management statement reviews
- Analyze results against historical, forecast, and benchmark data
- Coordinate business plan and quarterly forecast data
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Five to eight years’ cost and general accounting experience
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting
- Knowledge of ERP, SAP, Excel, and Power BI
