About Us
Victoria Learning Centre is a warm, inclusive, and nurturing childcare center dedicated to supporting children's growth and well-being. We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cook to prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children in our care.

Position Summary
The Cook is responsible for planning, preparing, and serving healthy meals and snacks that meet children's nutritional requirements. The successful candidate will maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment while ensuring compliance with all public health and food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks according to approved menus.
- Accommodate food allergies, dietary restrictions, and special nutritional needs.
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
- Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Complete daily kitchen documentation, including temperature logs.
- Follow all Ministry and Public Health requirements.




- Work collaboratively with educators and management to support children's health and well-being.

Qualifications

- Valid Food Handler Certificate.(Must)
- Previous cooking experience, preferably in a childcare, school, or institutional setting.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to prepare meals for large groups.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Standard First Aid and CPR-C Certification .
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check required.
