Overview

The Food Counter Attendant prepares and serves food, assists customers, and keeps the counter and work area clean and organized. This hands-on role combines friendly service, accurate transactions, and secure food handling in a fast-paced food service setting.

We will support Permanent Resident application if required

Responsibilities

- Prepare food orders, serve customers, and maintain consistent presentation while following food safety and sanitation practices.
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS where used, process payments, handle cash, and use basic math to verify transactions.
- Answer customer questions, provide attentive service, and suggest suitable additional items through courteous upselling.
- Clean and organize the counter and kitchen area, manage time across changing tasks,



and coordinate with colleagues to keep orders moving.

Requirements

Required: Practical food preparation, food handling, food safety, sanitation, customer service, cashiering, cash handling, POS operation, basic math, and time management capabilities support safe, accurate service. Preferred: Food service, restaurant, food industry, serving, or kitchen experience is helpful, as is familiarity with Micros POS and confidence with math and courteous upselling.

Pay: $15.00-$16.00 per hour
