Skyline is the top level of the Vision Elite Academy athlete pathway. We're committed to long-term athlete development, skilled and educated coaching, Safe Sport standards, and a positive team culture. All coaches receive mentorship and training through Skyline's coaching standards.
Compensation
- Head Coach Honorarium: $2,500–$3,000 per season
- Assistant Coach Honorarium: $2,000–$2,500 per season
- Approximately 10 hours per week through the club season
Head Coach Responsibilities
- Plan and lead practices (12U–15U: 2x/week, 2-hour sessions; 16U–18U: 3x/week, 2–3 hour sessions)
- Coach the team at tournaments and provincial league events
- Lead the assistant coach and communicate with parents and club staff
Assistant Coach Responsibilities
- Help run practices and drills, and provide individual feedback to athletes
- Support the head coach on game days and with team management
- Grow as a coach with mentorship from experienced staff
What We're Looking For
- Competitive volleyball coaching experience, or a strong playing background (high school, club, or university). Assistant roles are a great fit for current or former players new to coaching.
- NCCP certification preferred; we support coaches working toward it
- Respect in Sport (or willingness to complete before the season)
- Explicit Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- First Aid/CPR is an asset
- Reliable, organized, and available weekday evenings and some weekends

- Practices held in Winnipeg-area gyms
- Season: tryouts in early December, running through spring 2027
