This Manager, Legal Services and General Counsel leads contractual and legal services for LHSC. The role advises on health law, civil litigation, privacy, contracts, regulatory matters, and high-risk patient issues. Reporting to the Director, the Manager collaborates with leadership, external counsel, insurers, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Direct and evaluate contractual and legal service delivery
- Advise on complex claims, litigation risks, and regulatory matters
- Lead legal reviews and assess liability, compliance, and organizational risk
- Manage staffing, resources, budgets, improvement initiatives,



and change management
- Develop relationships across teams and with external partners

Requirements:

- Juris Doctor degree or equivalent qualification
- Ontario Bar call and Law Society standing
- Three to five years’ related experience preferred
- One to three years’ progressive leadership experience preferred
- Knowledge of Ontario health law, contracts, privacy, and litigation
