Lead corporate real estate strategy and land acquisition for the City of Maple Ridge through a temporary full time municipal leadership assignment.
The Senior Manager oversees real estate, land acquisition, and land management functions supporting strategic objectives and long-term municipal planning. This senior role maintains a 15–20-year outlook, builds property portfolios for civic projects, and advises on capital planning. It also guides acquisition, disposition, leasing, conveyancing, rights-of-way, easements, and encroachments across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop long-term land strategies and property portfolios
- Lead acquisition, disposition, leasing, and conveyancing functions
- Establish consistent land management frameworks and processes
- Advise senior leadership and Council on real estate decisions
- Maintain the City’s Land Inventory System
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in real estate, planning, geography, or related field
- Significant real estate and land acquisition experience
- AACI or R.I. (B.C.) designation
- Knowledge of legislation, appraisal, valuation, and acquisition processes
- Valid British Columbia driver’s licence
