Advance K-12 health education through curriculum expertise, professional learning, and collaborative teaching as a Health Education Coordinator with adaptable days.

This six-term position supports educators across physical and health education. You will address puberty and sexual health, personal safety, mental health, relationships, substance use, and nutrition. The work contributes to evidence-aligned approaches across all grade levels.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and facilitate professional learning with departments and teams
- Collaboratively plan, demonstrate lessons, and co-teach with educators
- Lead initiatives connected to the Curriculum Transformation Operational Plan
- Represent the district in local and provincial networks
- Collaborate with Island Health on health education learning

Requirements:

- Minimum five years of recent successful teaching experience
- Experience teaching Health Education across K-12
- Experience facilitating adult learning and professional development
- Coaching and mentoring experience with educators
- Sexual Health Educator Certification required
