TC Energy is looking to add a buyer/holdback release analyst to our Procurement & Expediting team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Material Procurement & Expending, the successful candidate will be responsible for the procurement of materials by assigned commodity, managing the full sourcing lifecycle including RFx development, commercial evaluations, and supplier negotiations. This role is well suited to a procurement professional who is developing subject matter expertise in construction payment processes and lien legislation. Procure materials by assigned commodity, with varying levels of complexity Conduct commercial evaluations of quotes and use analysis in negotiations with suppliers Single point of contact (SPOC) pertaining to purchase orders within area of responsibility Liaise with suppliers and collaborate with other internal stakeholders (Engineering, Project teams, Legal, Risk, Project Controllers, Accounts Payable etc.) Understand standard Purchase Order Terms and Conditions Ensure all relevant information is received to maintain SAP records Support the contractor holdback process by following established procedures and identifying opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency and consistency Coordinate with senior team members and, as required, legal counsel to confirm holdback requirements and jurisdiction-specific legislation Post‑secondary education in Business, Supply Chain Management,
