Apexon seeks a senior Backend Engineer focused on Python API and platform engineering. You will design reliable services, develop integrations, and support high-performance systems. The work spans databases, cloud technologies, security, performance, observability, and collaboration with frontend, DevOps, product, and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
Design and maintain scalable Python backend services Build RESTful APIs using REST, JSON, and OpenAPI Contribute to distributed system architecture discussions Optimize services for security, performance,

Requirements:
Five to ten or more years of backend engineering experience Robust hands-on Python backend development experience System design and distributed systems knowledge SQL, NoSQL, and major cloud platform experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a Canadian institution Apply Python, API, platform engineering, and distributed systems expertise to Apexon’s mission-critical financial platforms in Toronto.
