Accounting Clerk
- temporary until June 30, 2027 Bargaining Unit CUPE Local 3223 To provide accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, computer data input, reconciling petty cash, preparing the Agency application for Children’s Special Allowance and GST rebate, preparing Health Coverage applications for children in the care of the Society; producing journal entries and completing bank deposits. High school diploma with focus on accounting/bookkeeping. ~1+ year in the accounting/bookkeeping field. ~ Working knowledge of Excel with excellent keyboarding skills and data entry experience. ~ Proficiency in a second language an asset. This position is a covering a Durham Children’s Aid Society does not utilize Artificial Intelligence for the screening and selection of candidates. Durham Children’s Aid Society has been supporting families and protecting children in our community since 1905. We are responsible for providing child protection services to children and youth under the age of 18, and their families, who live in Durham Region.
