Senior Accountant opportunity in Halifax, Nova Scotia, focused on financial reporting, general ledger management, and accurate corporate finance information. Support Armco Capital Inc. across Canada and the United States. Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant supports month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes. The position prepares financial statements under ASPE, manages reconciliations, and assists with budgeting, forecasting, and audits. Collaboration with Finance colleagues and internal stakeholders ensures complete, timely information. Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting activities Prepare journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules Maintain general ledger and balance sheet accounts Coordinate audit requests and supporting documentation Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or related field Three to five years of progressive accounting experience Solid general accounting and financial-reporting knowledge Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency Apply financial reporting, ASPE, reconciliations, and Excel expertise as Senior Accountant supporting Armco’s corporate finance team. #
