Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist RQ11656 (CANADA)

About the role
CCI is hiring a Systems Testing/QA Specialist responsible for overseeing and managing the quality assurance (QA) processes for both manual and automated testing efforts. This role involves leading a team of QA engineers, developing and implementing testing strategies, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both manual and automated testing, robust leadership skills, and a deep understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and QA methodologies. Must Have: 10+ years of experience in process, planning, organizing and implementing testing efforts Demonstrated experience in a) Reviewing API specs b) Test positive, negative and error cases plus status codes c) Validate schemas and payloads d)Test authentication and authorization, d) Test integration and data integrity 5+ years of REST API testing (SOAP is an asset) including , request/response validation, authentication, contract testing, error handling,
and negative testing, REST or Playwright & SQL Ability to write and execute SQL queries for database validation and data-driven testing. Use automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, Playwright or similar to create robust and reusable test scripts. Plans and organizes testing efforts for large systems in Graphical User Interface (GUI) and non-Graphical User Interface (GUI) environments, including the execution of systems integration tests, specialized tests, and user acceptance testing. Nice to Have: Previous OPS/public sector exp.
