Role Description The Data Platform Engineer is a full-time, remote role responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data platforms and pipelines that support analytics, reporting, and application workloads. Day-to-day tasks include developing and optimizing data ingestion and transformation processes, managing database and storage systems, and ensuring platform reliability, performance, and security. The role involves troubleshooting data and infrastructure issues, collaborating with software engineers and stakeholders to define data requirements,



and implementing best practices for data governance, monitoring, and automation. The Data Platform Engineer will also contribute to architectural decisions, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts to keep the data stack modern and efficient. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong Programming and Software Development skills, with experience building data-intensive applications and services.
• Candidates should possess solid Databases skills, including design, optimization, and management of relational and/or NoSQL data stores.
• Candidates should possess Infrastructure skills, such as working with cloud platforms, containerization, orchestration, and monitoring tools for data systems.
• Candidates should possess effective Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues across data pipelines, services, and infrastructure.
• Experience with data warehousing, ETL/ELT tools, and streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, Spark, Flink) is beneficial.
• Familiarity with security best practices, data governance, and compliance standards is preferred.
• Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and work independently in a remote workplace.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
