Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Low Latency Developer to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario, working on high-performance enterprise applications . The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Core Java, multithreading, concurrency, low-latency application development, and performance optimization. The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing scalable microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven solutions using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, experience with enterprise application architecture, database optimization, and production support. The successful candidate will collaborate with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing solutions while following modern software engineering and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance, low-latency Java applications.
• Build scalable RESTful APIs and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
• Optimize application performance, response times, throughput, and resource utilization.
• Implement multithreading, concurrency, and asynchronous processing solutions.
• Participate in solution architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to understand technical requirements.
• Design and implement APIs, middleware integrations, and event-driven solutions.
• Perform database design, SQL query optimization,



and performance tuning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, integration, and production issues.
• Support cloud deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps-driven development.
• Establish coding standards, engineering best practices, and quality guidelines.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers and provide technical guidance.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives. Key Requirements
• Solid hands-on experience in Core Java and Advanced Java.
• Proven experience in low-latency, high-performance application development.
• Strong understanding of multithreading, concurrency, synchronization, and asynchronous programming.
• Expertise in Java performance optimization, JVM tuning, garbage collection, and memory management.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Spring Framework.
• Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and messaging technologies.
• Strong SQL and relational database knowledge, including query optimization.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, build tools, and DevOps practices.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and production support skills.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and technical leadership abilities.
• Experience in banking, financial services, capital markets, or trading systems is preferred.
