Technical Accountabilities Operate various pieces of heavy equipment as required. Conduct inspections of the work area prior to work beginning. Use the digital fleet management system.



Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and complete daily logbook reports for equipment. Maintain good housekeeping practices. Reporting to the Mining Operations Supervisor, an Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and productive operation of various types of Excavators, Dozers, Graders, and Loaders, primarily in an Open Pit setting. Minimum of 3 years experience in an open pit mine. ~ Minimum of 3 years experience operating heavy equipment in an industrial setting. ~ PC2000 or 870 Excavator ~Class 5 driver's license is required. ~ Experience loading Haul Trucks with a 994 Loader, or equivalent, preferred. ~ The use of computerized grade control/project software would be an asset. Remote, camp-based setting at Red Chris Mine ~14x14 rotation ~168 hours per rotation ~ Alternating days/nights ~ FIFO Why Work at Red Chris Mine?
