Lead complex underground mining designs remotely from Ontario using mechanical engineering expertise, technical reviews, and advanced problem-solving for Cementation Canada.As a Specialist Mechanical Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across heavy industrial projects and complex work packages. You will develop concepts, review calculations, select equipment, and support engineering teams. The position also includes mentoring engineers and designers while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities:
Develop mechanical concepts, trade-off studies, and special assignmentsReview calculations, equipment selection, layouts, and engineering workLead proposal estimates, site visits, and bid meetingsSupport procurement, fabrication, commissioning,
and change managementMentor engineers and designers while advancing departmental standardsRequirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a Canadian-accredited programRegistered P.Eng. with PEO or equivalent Canadian regulator15+ years' mining or heavy construction engineering experienceDesign experience with HVAC, piping, pumping, and material handlingCanadian work authorization and current Canadian residence requiredApply mechanical leadership, underground mining experience, and project lifecycle knowledge to Cementation Canada’s Ontario-based team.
