Lead responsible AI governance for the City of North Vancouver, shaping enterprise data, analytics, and GIS transformation from an ethical foundation.Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, this Director provides enterprise leadership across AI, data, analytics, and GIS. The mandate includes governance, strategy, strategic advice, service delivery improvement, and organizational capability. Partnerships span executive leaders, departments, Information Technology Services, and external stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain responsible AI governance frameworks, policies, and standardsLead enterprise AI, Data and Analytics Strategy developmentAdvise executives on innovation, emerging technologies, and transformationLead analytics, business intelligence, open data,



and GIS initiativesBuild AI literacy, data literacy, and continuous improvement capabilitiesRequirements:
Ten or more years of senior leadership experienceFive or more years of AI experienceExperience leading enterprise transformation and organizational changeStrong knowledge of AI, analytics, GIS, and emerging technologiesUnderstanding of privacy, security, ethics, and regulatory considerationsShape trustworthy municipal transformation through AI governance, enterprise analytics, data strategy, and Geographic Information Systems leadership.
