Summary:

We’re hiring an Injection Molding Machine Operator for our day shift (7:00am to 3:30pm)! In this role, you’ll set up the injection molding machine and work station for production runs, monitor part quality, and help improve quality and production cycle times. You’ll report any machine or quality issues to the Injection Molding Technician or supervisor, operate assigned machines, and take on other related duties as required. We’re always working on continuous improvement in safety, quality, and efficiency using Lean manufacturing methods, and you’ll be part of that. You’ll also work with co-workers to cover breaks and keep machines running, and keep the machines and plant clean so production runs are completed and the next shift has a smooth hand off.

● OEE for the plant is at 95% or better

● Ability to identify and remove defects

Job Duties:

● Operate machine to produce injection molded parts





● Basic machine maintenance

● Heat staking, part assembly, trimming parts produced by machine

● Monitor and report on material quality and levels

● Counting, boxing, palletizing, and labeling finished parts

Continuous Improvement:

● Monitor and assist to improve part quality and production cycle times

● Establish and sustain practices that drive continuous improvement throughout the

plant in a way that aligns with corporate business goals

Other Matters

● Consistently promote high standards through personal example

● Takes initiative to expand their own skills

● Reports any and all safety issues to supervisor or OHS representative

Required Skills and Attributes:

● Demonstrates hands-on experience with tools, machinery, or equipment

● Some understanding of trouble shooting, repair, reading technical manuals/drawings

● Problem Solving and attention to detail

● Injection molding experience is an asset

Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm | Monday - Friday

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
