POSITION: Senior Distribution Centre Associate

Reports to: Distribution Centre Supervisor

Hours: Monday –Friday 7:30 am–4:00 pm, occasional weekends

Currently, we are missing a critical link (aka YOU) and seeking a candidate armed with passion and the ability to jump in and support our Distribution Centre team.

The successful candidate will be positive with numbers, people and task management, have a flexible schedule, be able to lift 50 pounds and have a sense of urgency about them! The combination of receiving, picking and shipping means that quick turnarounds are the rule, not the exception. This position presents an awesome opportunity to gain valuable training and hands on experience in people and process management.

REQUIREMENTS

- Good organization and time management skills
- Valuable communication skills (written and verbal)
- Hard-working with a desire to see a job done to completion
- Ability to lift heavy objects (50 lbs+)
- Have or are interested in obtaining a forklift License and operating a forklift daily
- Previous experience at a Distribution Center or Warehouse
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Support Leads and Distribution Center Supervisor, ensuring tasks are completed by the team as directed
- Receiving inventory and stocking shelves from inbound shipments
- Pulling/Picking inventory for orders and store transfers




- Restocking shelves from overflow inventory locations
- Troubleshoot issues Associates are having and, if required, escalate to Leads on their behalf
- Maintain a secure and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat
- Conduct inventory audits to ensure that actual and system inventory is accurate
- Train new employees in proper procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Ensure all employees are working safely at all times
- Provide coverage for task management when Leads and/or Supervisors are absent or otherwise unavailable.
- When required, ensure the building is secured at the end of the workday and/or open the building for the start of the day
- Other duties as assigned

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week

- Oakville, ON L6L 5N1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

- Warehouse distribution: 1 year (preferred)
