Concrete Pump Operator / Construction Labourer

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Concrete Pump Operator / Labourer to join our construction team. This role is responsible for driving and operating the company’s concrete pumping truck, coordinating with concrete suppliers and job site crews, and ensuring safe, efficient placement of concrete on residential construction sites.

When pumping work is light, this individual will support other company operations including truck driving, material deliveries, equipment maintenance, and general labour as needed.

This is a hands-on role requiring responsibility, mechanical awareness, and a strong work ethic.

Work Schedule & Pay

- Monday to Saturday
- 8 hours per day (some flexibility depending on concrete schedules)
- Hourly pay, based on experience

Key Responsibilities

Concrete Pump Operation

- Drive the concrete pumping truck from head office to job sites safely and responsibly
- Coordinate timing and logistics with concrete supply trucks
- Set up pump equipment and hoses at job sites
- Operate the concrete pump to accurately place concrete as directed
- Monitor flow, pressure, and safety during pumping operations
- Communicate clearly with crew members during pours
- Clean and flush the pump system and hoses after each use
- Ensure truck and equipment are properly secured before transport
- Return to head office or proceed to additional job sites as scheduled

Equipment Care & Responsibility





- Perform daily inspections of truck and pump systems
- Report mechanical issues promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of equipment
- Follow all safety regulations and operational procedures

Additional Duties (When Pumping Work Is Light)

- Assist with garbage bin truck routes
- Perform material deliveries to job sites
- Support basic truck and equipment maintenance
- Assist crews with general labour tasks when required
- Support overall company operations as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

- Valid driver’s G license with a clean drivers abstract
- Experience operating a concrete pump truck preferred
- Construction experience required
- Mechanically inclined with strong equipment awareness
- Comfortable working on residential construction sites
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift heavy hoses and equipment
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Capable of standing and operating equipment for extended periods
