Medicine Hat Public School Division seeks a Specialized Educational Assistant for the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year. You will support students from early learning through grade 6 in a specialized classroom and inclusive school environment. The work includes physical assistance, self-regulation strategies, and collaboration with service providers under teacher direction.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with lifts, transfers, toileting, and life skills development
- Apply positive behaviour support techniques during classroom activities
- Develop students' self-regulation skills and coping mechanisms




- Carry out therapist-directed physical development and mobility programs
- Maintain routines, expectations, safety, and supportive relationships

Requirements:
- Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent experience preferred
- School-setting experience or training working with students
- Ability to support early learning through grade six
- Experience with neurodiverse students and autism spectrum needs
- First aid would be an asset
