Lodge Administrator
Location: On-site, Duck Mountain Provincial Park | Job Type: Full-time or part-time, permanent, year-round | Pay: $22.00+ per hour, depending on experience
About Us
Duck Mountain Lodge sat empty for 9 years. We brought it back to life in 2024, and we're now open year-round with a restaurant, lounge, cafe and 15 guest rooms. Our guests are work crews, snowmobilers, cottagers and families who've been coming to the park for generations. We're growing fast, and we need an organized, steady person to run the office side so the owner can focus on the food and the guests.
The Role
You're the person who keeps the lodge running behind the scenes: bookings, money, staff paperwork, ordering and keeping everything on track. If you love a clean inbox, a balanced cash-out and a to-do list with everything checked off, this is your job.

- Pay suppliers and bills, and keep invoices organized
- Invoice crew companies and follow up on unpaid accounts
- Keep receipts and records ready for our bookkeeper and accountant
- Help prepare GST, PST and lodging tax filings
Staff
- Build and post the weekly schedule in Connecteam, and help cover call-ins
- Track hours and timesheets for payroll, and watch overtime
- Handle new-hire paperwork, staff files and certificates

- Place supply orders for the kitchen, bar and housekeeping
- Help with inventory counts and track waste
- Watch supplier prices and flag increases
Marketing
- Post specials and events on Facebook
- Keep our hours and info up to date online
- Reply to Google and Facebook reviews
Keeping things on track
- Keep permits, licences, insurance and inspection records current
- Make sure daily logs get done (fridge temps, cleaning lists)
- Book repairs and service calls, and follow up on room issues
- Send the owner a weekly summary: sales, labour cost and occupancy
What You Need
- 2+ years of office, admin, front desk or hospitality experience
- Comfortable with numbers: cash, invoices, basic bookkeeping
- Good with computers: email, spreadsheets, Google or Microsoft 365, POS systems
- Friendly and professional on the phone and in person
- Very organized. You follow through without being reminded
