Everest Signs is looking for a motivated, dependable and technically inclined individual to join our team as an LED Digital Display Technician.

Previous LED digital display experience is NOT required. We provide hands-on training!

You will work alongside three experienced LED technicians who will train you in the assembly, installation, programming, maintenance and troubleshooting of modern LED digital display systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practical experience, basic electrical and computer knowledge, and a genuine interest in developing specialized technical skills.

Established in 1986, Everest Signs is a well-established, UL-certified Canadian signage manufacturer operating from a 20,000 sq. ft. facility in Scarborough, Ontario.

We design, manufacture, install and service commercial signs, illuminated signage and advanced LED digital displays.

Our in-house manufacturing facilities, crane and bucket-truck fleet, and experienced technical teams allow us to handle projects from initial design through manufacturing, installation and ongoing service.

What You'll Be Doing

You will receive practical training and gradually take on greater technical responsibilities as your skills develop.

LED Display Assembly and Installation

- Assist with assembling indoor and outdoor LED digital displays.
- Install LED modules, power supplies, controllers and connecting cables.
- Use hand tools, power tools and basic electrical testing equipment.
- Assist with mounting and installing displays at customer locations.
- Work alongside experienced technicians during installations and service calls.

Programming and Technical Training

- Learn to configure LED display controllers and software.
- Learn how digital displays communicate through computers and networks.
- Assist with display programming, brightness adjustments and system testing.
- Develop troubleshooting skills for electrical, electronic and communication problems.
- Gain experience with professional LED control systems such as NovaStar and Colorlight.

Field Service and Maintenance

- Travel to customer sites using company service vehicles.
- Assist with diagnosing and repairing LED display problems.
- Replace faulty modules, power supplies and electronic components.
- Work from bucket trucks, aerial lifts and ladders following established safety procedures.




- Assist with regular maintenance and service activities.
- Drive company service vehicles, including larger vehicles where appropriately licensed, trained and authorized.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone with the right attitude, practical abilities, driving experience and a genuine interest in learning.

Essential Requirements

- Valid full Ontario G driver's licence held for a minimum of 3 years, with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience driving larger vehicles than regular passenger cars, such as commercial vans, cube vans, pickup trucks, delivery trucks, service vehicles or similar equipment.
- Comfortable handling larger company vehicles and willing to learn to operate specialized service vehicles, subject to applicable licensing and training requirements.
- Comfortable working at heights and from bucket trucks or aerial lifts.
- Practical experience working at heights, including familiarity with appropriate fall protection and safe work procedures.
- Basic knowledge of electricity, wiring and electrical safety.
- Comfortable using computers and learning new software.
- Able to use common hand tools and basic power tools.
- Willing and able to work outdoors throughout the year, including winter conditions.
- Physically capable of performing installation and service work, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable, punctual, safety-conscious and willing to learn.
- Able to work independently as skills develop and cooperate with other team members.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Previous experience with LED digital displays is NOT necessary.

Experience That Would Be Helpful

- Electrical or electronics technicians and assistants
- Low-voltage wiring and security system installers
- Telecommunications, cable and network technicians
- Sign installation and maintenance workers
- Automotive electrical or mechanical technicians
- Equipment maintenance and field service technicians
- Construction workers with technical aptitude and experience working at heights
- Commercial vehicle drivers with hands-on mechanical or electrical experience
- Technically inclined individuals with relevant practical experience

Additional assets include:

- Experience operating bucket trucks, aerial lifts or similar equipment
- Valid Working at Heights certification
- DZ or AZ driver's licence
- Experience with LED digital displays, NovaStar, Colorlight or similar systems
- Formal training in electrical, electronics, mechanical or computer-related fields

Formal technical qualifications are helpful but not mandatory.
