Protect gaiia’s cloud infrastructure as a Senior Security Engineer, using AWS expertise and strong security judgment in a 100% remote environment.

This hands-on senior role combines security generalist responsibilities with full-stack engineering. You will protect products, infrastructure, customers, and teams across serverless microservices, TypeScript, and infrastructure-as-code. The work spans application security, cloud security, incident response, compliance, and enablement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review AWS, Snowflake, GitHub, and critical vendor configurations
- Improve IAM, least privilege, and production access controls
- Review logging, detection, monitoring, and deployment pipelines
- Harden data stores, networks, backups, and encryption controls




- Report material risks and security progress to leadership

Requirements:

- At least five years in a related technical role
- Strong experience securing cloud infrastructure and distributed systems
- Strong AWS experience and up-to-date web application security knowledge
- Experience with serverless architectures, microservices, and infrastructure-as-code
- Understanding of IAM, secrets management, logging, and secure SDLC practices
