Here’s how a Software Developer for PCL Constructors Inc. within Edmonton NAHQ contributes to our team:

This role is being offered as a 12 month contract.

Creating and executing automated tests and performing developer testing before deployment.

Managing and supporting build creation and update deployment to development and test environments.

Responding to tier-three requests for technical support.

Incorporating AI agents and/or tools to assist with work assignments.

Communicating project progress, issues, risks, and changes throughout development.

Evaluating and recommending alternative technical solutions.

Assisting with the creation and maintenance of technical documentation and reports.

Providing technical guidance and support to team members as required.

Developing and maintaining strong,



customer-focused relationships with stakeholders.

3+ years of progressive experience in software development or a related field.

- Postsecondary degree or diploma in computer technology or a related discipline.
- Experience with C#, .NET, and Azure Functions .
- Experience with SQL Server databases and Transact-SQL .
- Experience with GitHub Copilot, Git, Azure, and Azure DevOps .
- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 2022 , Visual Studio Code , or similar development tools.
- Understanding of software design patterns, AI-assisted development, Mobile Development, CI/CD automation, application architecture, and API-based development.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Lean, XP, and Agile .
- Ability to learn business processes and recommend technical solutions.
- Ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- Customization experience using X++ for Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or other ERP systems is considered a significant asset.
