Lead underground mine design and backfill engineering with SLR Consulting Canada, applying operational experience, planning expertise, and technical leadership.
As a Senior Mining Engineer, you will help grow SLR’s mining backfill engineering services business and team. The work spans underground operations, tailings management, backfill design, mine planning, rock mechanics, and ventilation. You will develop solutions for complex engineering problems collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead engineering studies within multidisciplinary mining teams
Develop backfill concepts for senior client decision-makers
Direct project engineers and mentor junior engineering staff
Evaluate mine design economics, logistics, trade-offs, and cash flows
Manage conceptual, feasibility, and detailed engineering projects
Requirements:
Minimum ten years of mining industry experience
Minimum five years operating underground mine experience
Experience with operational mine planning
Mining, civil, or geotechnical engineering degree
Qualified Engineer registration or eligibility
Apply underground operations, mine planning, and paste backfill expertise while leading engineering delivery for SLR’s mining clients.
