This regular part-time position supports laundry services at Extendicare Guildwood. You will collect, sort, wash, repair, fold, iron, and deliver residents’ clothing and facility linens. The work helps maintain clean, safe, and comfortable surroundings while following facility procedures and safe practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and sort soiled clothing and facility linens
- Load and unload washers and dryers using correct settings
- Inspect items and complete minor sewing repairs
- Fold, sort, stack, and iron clothing and linens
- Deliver clean items to appropriate areas
Requirements:
- Strong oral and written English communication skills
- Knowledge of commercial laundry procedures and linen care
- Ability to meet the position’s physical requirements
- Familiarity with basic sewing and mending techniques
- Vulnerable Sector Check issued within six months, or willingness to obtain
