The Laundry Attendant maintains the laundry department and supports timely, productive floor supplies. Duties involve patient clothing, linen, terry cloth, washing formulas, folding, and equipment upkeep communication. Previous laundry or dry cleaning experience, preferably in a clinical or facility setting, is desired.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate washing methods for stained and soiled laundry loads
- Sort patient clothing and linen by product type
- Fold clothing, linen, and terry cloth neatly
- Prepare carts, bags,
and storage racks for distribution
- Maintain proper linen levels across client floors
Requirements:
- Previous laundry or dry cleaning experience desired
- Clinical or facility experience preferred
- Secondary school diploma preferred
- Ability to stand, lift, and carry up to forty pounds
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
