Process documentation and business process modelling define this full-time contract opportunity with the City of Markham in Markham, Ontario.

Reporting to the Manager, IT Project Delivery, the Process Documentation Specialist analyzes and standardizes business processes and system workflows. The position creates process maps, standard operating procedures, work instructions, and training materials while supporting change management. Collaboration includes process owners, subject matter experts, project teams, Information Technology Services, vendors, and end users. The assignment is a two-year contract with two vacancies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Facilitate process discovery sessions, interviews, workshops, and observations
- Document future-state processes, workflows, roles, controls, and dependencies
- Create Visio process maps, workflow diagrams, and decision flows




- Develop procedures, job aids, manuals, and knowledge articles
- Validate documentation and maintain version control and repositories

Requirements:

- College diploma or equivalent education and experience
- At least three years of progressively responsible related experience
- Business process modelling proficiency using Microsoft Visio and BPMN
- Knowledge of change management methodologies such as Prosci ADKAR
- Robust communication, organization, judgment, and confidentiality skills
