Support secure Northern College learning spaces through grounds maintenance, building repairs, and equipment operation. This position reports onsite to Facilities and Maintenance leadership.

The General Maintenance Worker completes timely repairs, maintenance, and services for staff and students. Duties combine grounds keeping, plant equipment operation, interior and exterior finish repairs, minor plumbing, and routine HVAC maintenance. The position also supports inspections, deliveries, and equipment movement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform snow removal and lawn mowing duties
- Operate tractors, walk behind equipment, and vehicles
- Repair drywall, floors, ceilings, windows, and doors
- Complete minor plumbing and HVAC maintenance
- Inspect fire and emergency safety equipment monthly

Requirements:

- One year certificate in a relevant field
- Two years’ large building maintenance experience
- Experience with mobile equipment and small engine repairs
- Valid Class G driver’s license
- WHMIS and First Aid/CPR/AED certification
