Reporting to the Supervisor, Equipment Maintenance, this Rail Mechanical position supports Motive Power and railway equipment. You will repair, adjust, overhaul, and maintain diesel or gas-powered engines, locomotives, shop machinery, and rail equipment. The work includes precision measurement, machine shop operations, and equipment handling.

Key Responsibilities:

- Repair and maintain locomotives, engines, and railway equipment
- Troubleshoot transmissions, hydraulic systems, brakes, and air compressors
- Use micrometers, gauges, indicators, and testing equipment
- Operate CNC, overhead cranes, forklifts, and elevated platforms




- Follow blueprints, specifications, and manufacturer patterns

Requirements:

- Secondary School Diploma or General Educational Diploma
- Mechanical aptitude and valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of safety codes and safety-conscious work practices
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather
- Solid teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills
