Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Shipping Assistant will be primarily responsible for overseeing that outbound product is correctly labelled, categorized and entered in the ERP system prior to being shipped out to EarthFresh customers.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- High school diploma
Experience & Skills:
- 1-2 years working in an admin role within a warehouse workplace
- Proficient with MS Office, familiarity with ERP systems is an asset
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Positive attitude and ability to problem solve
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Flexibility and willingness to work overtime as required, which will include evenings and weekends
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Create labels for all outbound EarthFresh orders locals / exports.
2.
Ensure proper counts are documented prior to shipping product.
3. Identify pick tickets for Order Picker and report malfunctioning tags.
4. Adhere templates to outgoing containers to ensure product is directed properly.
5. Ensure count and product are correct according to pick ticket.
6. Inform the Order Picker of changes to sales orders.
7. Prepare report on uncompleted items from day shift to forward to afternoon shift.
8. Ensure compliance with all provincial acts and regulations pertaining to health and safety, food safety, as well as EarthFresh company policies and procedures.
9. Other duties as required by the Warehouse Manager.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 6am-2:30pm; every alternate Sunday.
