Lead event execution at Sandman Hotel & Suites Calgary South using scheduling, client service, and team leadership skills. This role is located in Deerfoot Meadows, Calgary.

As an Event Coordinator, you will help lead the Event Department within a hospitality setting. You will develop and mentor event servers while working with chefs, the Event Manager, restaurant leaders, and the hotel division. The position combines administrative event planning with quality assurance, customer service, and operational control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and control events according to company standards
• Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to event staff
• Execute events and manage quality assurance

• Plan banquet inventory, labor control, and scheduling

Requirements:

• Interest in hospitality and administrative event planning
• Ability to develop and mentor event servers
• Capacity to uphold company standards, policies, and procedures
• Ability to identify crew skills and leadership potential
• Ability to attend weekly BEO meetings with the Chef
