Support exceptional-needs students as an Educational Assistant with the Upper Canada District School Board through instruction and specialized programs.

Working under the Principal’s direction and consulting with Learning Resource and classroom teachers, you will support students in academic or integrated classes. Responsibilities may include individual and group instruction, student oversight, and implementing programs addressing behavioural, communication, intellectual, or physical needs.



The work requires flexibility and confidential information handling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support individual and group student instruction
• Assist students in academic and integrated classroom environments
• Oversee special education students when required
• Implement programs addressing behaviour and communication needs
• Support intellectual and physical student needs

Requirements:

• Secondary school diploma and qualifying two or three year diploma
• Knowledge of social, emotional, and physical student needs
• Understanding of learning and developmental disabilities
• Behaviour Management Systems training or certification is an asset
• Valid vulnerable sector criminal record check required
