H 2 O is seeking Water & Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator-in-Training (OIT) in the Interior BC area.CONDITIONSOverall remuneration including:Group insurance plan; RRSP;Vacation and sick days.THE DAY-TO-DAYReporting to the Operations Lead and Project Manager, the Water & Wastewater Plant Operator will be responsible for:Ensure safe, compliant, and consistent operation of all water and wastewater treatment plants ; Operation and maintenance of the treatment plants, sludge processing systems, and pumping stations according to related Government standards; Conduct regularinspections of the collection and distribution systems as well as the plants; Creation and initiation of work orders for operational servicing and repairs; Preparation anddelivery of activity and work orders for preventative and corrective maintenance; Ordering of goods and equipment, and maintain inventory; Submission of Reports to government agencies, departments, and other organizations as required; Ability to communicate effectively with other personnel and supervisors; Provide guidance and support to plant team members ; Maintain and execute training for operations personnel to develop required knowledge and skills ; Communicate with the operators, client and management on issues that may potentially affect the treatment process, compliance or public health ; Support water and wastewater treatment projects. Support with the development of project plans, SOP's,



justify and execute project requests.Support and maintain positive operator and customer relationships and communications ; Ensure strategic market development and growth ; Other duties asassigned.SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES DESIREDProfessional:Experience operating and maintaining Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants and related equipment desired; Must be flexible and demonstrate a dedication to the position and to public services; Computer literate with ability to use Microsoft Word, and Excel; Valid Driver's License required; Must be able toperform on-call support services on rotationExcellent and professional oral and written communication skills.Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):Walking & Standing: 4-12 hr/day; Bending & Reaching: 4-8 hr/day; Pushing & pulling: 4-8 hr/day; Driving 4-6 hr/day; Physical Effort: does not lift weights more than 50 lbs; Environmental Stress: busy atmosphere, working inside and outside.Work is performed indoors and outdoors in often harsh weather conditions.Personal:The selected candidate will be recognized for his/her organizational skills, rigor and analytical skills .He/she will be autonomous in addition to beingcomfortable in a multi-tasking environment .The candidate will be goal oriented and will act as a team player ,who not only will share his/her knowledge ,but who will also have the desire to learn continually .Lastly, he/she will demonstrate a professional and positive attitude towards his/her team and the external & internal clients.H 2 O INNOVATIONH 2 O Innovation designs and provides state-of-the-art, custom-built and integrated water treatment solutions based on membrane filtration technology for municipal, industrial, energy and natural resources end-users.
