Financial modeling and valuation expertise support private equity investments at Novacap, with work spanning chance analysis and portfolio monitoring.
The position may be filled as Senior Analyst or Associate, based on candidate experience. You will assist partners, vice presidents, and associates in researching investments, testing assumptions, and assessing returns and risks. You will also participate in negotiations, execution, management reviews, and investment recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze opportunities through financial models and valuation methods
- Assess management, industry dynamics, risks, returns, and regulations
- Review legal, accounting, industry, and environmental diligence reports
- Support negotiations, execution,
and Investment Committee presentations
- Work with management teams on strategic initiatives
Requirements:
- Two to four years in investment banking, private equity, or related work
- Strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities
- Due diligence experience in analytically driven organizations
- Deadline management and performance under pressure
- Bilingual French and English; relevant designation considered an asset
