Support safer manufacturing through risk assessment, equipment installations, and Health & Safety projects at IPEX’s Ontario locations, based in Mississauga.
As a Project Engineer/Project Specialist – Safety, you will support projects from concept through implementation. The position provides technical expertise for machine safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. You will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Health & Safety teams while coordinating with contractors, consultants, and suppliers. Travel may reach 30% within Ontario.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Health & Safety project execution within established standards
- Provide recommendations following pre-start safety reviews
- Review engineering documentation, drawings, and progress reports
- Monitor performance against project goals and address challenges
- Support initiatives improving safety, performance, and reliability
Requirements:
- Engineering bachelor’s degree, preferably Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical
- Three years of manufacturing or industrial engineering experience
- Mechanical and electrical machinery drawing analysis knowledge
- Solid project, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of mechanical concepts, pneumatics, and hydraulics
