Apply civil construction inspection expertise at RVA’s Island Water Treatment Plant, reviewing quality, progress, and documentation during seasonal winter assignments. Ferry access is provided.

This Site Representative supports RVA’s Water/Wastewater group on a project lasting three years, each winter from approximately December through March. The contractual hourly position may require up to 12 hours daily, with transportation between the ferry dock and plant provided by the client or contractor. Responsibilities include quality audits, records, contract documentation, and communication with project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Audit contractor quality control records and corrective actions
- Maintain records for soils, concrete, aggregates, and structures
- Monitor material quantities and collect supporting documentation




- Review red-line drawings, as-built drawings, and contract documents
- Provide weekly progress reports with summary photographs

Requirements:

- Canadian-accredited civil engineering technologist or technician diploma
- Engineering degree from a recognized post-secondary institution accepted
- Five-plus years’ water and wastewater facilities construction preferred
- Solid written and oral English communication skills
- Knowledge of construction risks and safety legislation
